Suitcases- A Short Film by Lady Britannia Tiako Foch Genre: Coming-of-age Music: Da Capo by Gavin Luke Spiral by Lady Britannia Tiako Foch Logline: A teenage girl shares her experience growing up having moved places so many times. Through an emotional soundtrack and a poetic monologue, she shares her honest thoughts and feelings. Director’s note: From someone that had to move a lot growing up because of the kind of work my parents did, I used my own experiences to write ‘Suitcases’. The wall that you see in the beginning and final shot is called my ‘Wall of Fame’. It has photos of me, musicians I like, revision post it notes, or quotes I like, movie posters, animal anatomy posters and much more. I think it’s a good representation of me and if you looked at it without knowing anything about me, you could probably guess a few things about me. Having to tear all the posters down symbolises how it felt to pack up and start over again. The final shot of the lily symbolises hope and new beginnings. (I also painted that lily). It could be exciting moving, but settling in could be a challenge. I still care about all the friends I made along the way and wish them well and I’ll always be grateful to the people that helped me settle in on my very first weeks/months. 💜 Writing the script came naturally to me and the reason I enjoy film so much is because I can take experiences from my real life and share them with others in a creative way. “In the world of cinema, you can never have too many ideas”- Me Camera: Canon EOS M50 Mark II Lens 15-45mm Edited in Clipchamp and Adobe Premiere Pro
